Duck Creek Rd is south of Beaudesert and is a maintained off-road track heading up the back way to Lamington national park. It is a very scenic track winding up the mountain range until meeting the bitumen rd at the top to follow on to O'reilly's tourist centre and walking tracks. There are many camping areas at the top among the tourist areas, there are also a number of picnic areas along the Duck Creek Rd as you make your way to the top.
There are some great places for camping on Bribie Island if you have a 4wd. Beautiful places only accessible in a 4x4 yet so close to civilization. There is also great fishing, hundreds of bird species and rich history, to name a few of the things to do and see. Stay for a day or a week. Located only 1hr north of Brisbane, it is well worth the trip.
